Preparation Instructions:
Preparing a delicious batch of boiled peanuts is much easier than one would expect. To begin you will first need to thoroughly wash and rinse your peanuts under warm running tap water. Using a strainer to clean them works well. Next take out a large cooking pot, and then add in the peanuts in their shells, kosher salt, cayenne pepper, garlic cloves, and red chilies. Obviously the last three ingredients are optional, but man oh man do they add some delicious flavor to this recipe. Next add in enough water to the pot to cover the peanuts, toss a lid on the pot, and then place it on your stove over medium high heat, and let the peanuts boil for three full hours. If you find that your peanuts are not quite salty enough, let them sit in the salt water for a little longer after you are done boiling, then check them every twenty minutes or so to see if they are salty enough. Once your peanuts are done, they should keep for a couple of days. We hope you enjoyed this delicious American style recipe. Do be sure to check out all of our other unique boiled vegetable creations.
