Preparation Instructions:
To begin this delicious recipe you will first need to take out a large saucepan. Next wash and rinse your turnips under cool running tap water, then take out a sharp kitchen knife and peel and cube them. Once your turnips are ready, add them to the saucepan, cover them with water, and then bring the water to a boil over medium high heat. You'll want to cook your veggies for about twenty minutes, or until they are nice and tender. Once they're cooked, drain out the water from the saucepan, and then add in the real butter. Moving forward, next take out a potato masher and mash up the turnips, making sure the melted butter is evenly mixed in. Next add in the sour cream, half and half cream, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir and mash these ingredients together until you have an even distribution of radish paste. Your turnips are now ready to serve. This recipe makes an absolutely delicious side dish, and compliments steaks and grilled chicken very well.
